TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal
The COVID-19 global pandemic brought an unpredictability to people's lives. TOTO is leveraging its technology to help people navigate this New Normal.
Toto's culture is based on the principle of Kaisen which translates to "perfection". homepage , called the WELLNESSTOILET, uses cutting edge sensing technologies to support customer wellness.
Water Sense Technology
Affiliated with the EPA, WaterSense labeled plumbing fixtures can help save water and energy while delivering secure, reliable performance. TOTO USA is one of the first companies to be awarded the WaterSense Label for its EcoPower flush valves and commercial flushometers.
Our Aquia IV Dual-flush Toilet is an excellent example of high-efficiency bathroom fixtures. It uses just 1.28 gallons of water for each flush. This is less than 1.6 grams required to be in compliance with EPA standards. The Aquia IV also features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology that reduces the frequency of cleaning the bowl and the need for additional flushes further decreasing its environmental footprint.
Installing a showerhead that is low-flowing will reduce the amount of water you use when washing or bathing. Our high-efficiency showerheads are WaterSense evaluated and have the modern technology to provide superior performance and ease of use.
In an era where water shortages are frequent, limiting the use of water is important. TOTO's EcoPower Technology, found in the Aquia IV and NEXUS toilets, helps reduce water consumption by using just 1.28 gallons of water per flush.
The elongated toilets from TOTO are certified by the EPA to be high-efficiency. The elongated toilets have a round or elongated basin and an ADA-compliant 17-19 inches height. We also have an elongated toilet with a compact design that is ideal for small spaces and only uses 0.9 Gallons per flush.
TOTO's toilets are the most sought-after in the market for both home and commercial use. They're not only a cost-effective alternative to toilet paper they're also more effective, as they offer a full body wash that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and confident. The NEXUS Bidet is made using our EWATER+ Technology, which is made by electrolyzing tapwater into a solution containing sodium chloride ions. This produces an effective disinfectant that kills bacteria, viruses and other pathogens, while leaving your skin and environment in good health.
ADA Compliant
You can be able to find the terms "ADA compliant" and "universal height", but not all toilets that have universal heights are ADA-compliant.
The ADA standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act are designed to be inclusive of people of all ages and abilities, including those with mobility issues or lower body strength. Toto incorporates these standards into their products to ensure that customers get the bathroom experience of their choice with ease of use.
TOTO's ADA-compliant toilets are an all-in-one design that instantly beautifies bathrooms and also offers a functional benefit compared to traditional two-piece designs. The single-piece designs from TOTO help with cleaning by removing the gap between the bowl and tank. TOTO's Eco UltraMax toilets also feature high-efficiency flushing system that uses less water. These toilets are water-efficient and use 1.28 gallons per flush (GPF) or less.
Two-Piece and One-Piece Designs
Many who have been to Japan have praised the ease and effectiveness of the Toto toilets they used. Toto is a Japanese brand of toilets that has a one-piece design that incorporates the bowl and tank. They are easy to clean and can fit into small spaces. They are also extremely robust and can last for many years.
The band Toto was formed in the early 1970s after members did session work for a number of renowned musicians. Keyboardist David Paich and drummers Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro as well as bassist Joseph Williams were all regular contributors to albums by Steely Dan [73 Seals and Crofts[74], Boz Scaggs[75], and Sonny and Cher.
Several of the members have performed solo and also. Vocalist Bobby Kimball released a album called From the Inside in 1978, guitarist Steve Lukather a second LP entitled Luke and keyboardists David Paich and Joe Porcaro recorded an album with jazz pianist Miles Davis.
Toto as well as their music, has been doing numerous tours over the years. In February of 2018, they released their 40 Trips Around The Sun anniversary album and began a world tour in order to promote it.
The central element of TOTO's Total Design principle is taking into account the needs of all ages and abilities. Universal Height toilets are available to those with limited mobility. They also offer a line of WASHLET+ bidets that have revolutionized the experience of using the toilet from washing to wiping with a stream of water. Many people are turning to this more efficient option.
Noise Reduction

In the United States, bathrooms are typically located near bedrooms, which is why toilets that keep the noise to a minimum are particularly well-liked. And TOTO has found a way to achieve that with its Washlet, an electric bidet seat. TOTO's toilets are described as "magical" because they have a rimless basin that makes use of a small amount of water, and a powerful warm air spray that cleanses and drys the skin.
While Japan embraces its technological achievements however, it also has a deep respect for the humble toilet. These qualities are reflected in the Toilet Museum of Japan which was inaugurated in 1999 and was designed to inspire people to think differently about their bathroom habits. A toilet-powered motorcycle powered by poop and other witty exhibits are designed to emphasize the museum's message that TOTO products are not only efficient, but also environmentally friendly.
The museum also displays TOTO's innovations, starting from the first flush all the way to the aeration toilet which requires less water and reduces waste by 90 percent. The Washlet is included in this exhibit. It uses jets to clean and dry the user while masking embarrassing sounds from the toilet using the sound of birds chirping.
Before beginning to form Toto members such as bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro played on albums by famous artists like Steely Dan Seals and Crofts Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. Keyboardist David Paich was a regular on sessions with artists such as the Eagles, Larry Carlton, and Quincy Jones.
In the years following Toto's debut album, the band struggled to create an appealing sound and underwent several changes in its members. Hungate ended up leaving the band to pursue a career as a solo artist in Nashville in the year 1980. His decision was prompted by a lack of time for his family and a growing addiction to drugs. In the end, the success of the band depended on the talents of Lukather and keyboardist Steve Porcaro.
Comfort
Toilets designed by TOTO are created with the user's comfort in mind. They have many features that make bathroom use more enjoyable. For instance, they have heated seats that help to keep the user warm. They also have lids with automatic mechanisms that can be closed and opened for greater convenience. They also have self-cleaning systems that keep the toilets clean and fresh.

They also contributed to Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. In 1980 they formed Toto along with singer/songwriter Joseph Williams.
The band began to tour extensively after the release of Toto IV. In 1985, Fergie Frederiksen's vocalist was dismissed for having trouble mixing with the other members. Toto released Fahrenheit in 1986, a year after recording Fahrenheit.
The album was a departure from the previous music of the group that incorporated elements of jazz and gospel. The album wasn't an immediate success in North America but it did well in Japan. In 1987, Toto continued their tour and played at the Montreux Jazz Festival. During this time the bassist David Hungate quit the band to focus on his session and production career. He was replaced by vocalist/guitarist Steve Lukather.
